Driven by her passion for people, Candace Seagroves advocates for clients in federal and state courts throughout North Carolina, where she focuses her practice in criminal defense. Candace’s practice area is primarily in Wake County and its neighboring jurisdictions. She handles cases involving traffic violations, driving while impaired, underage drinking tickets, open container violations, domestic violence, assault, battery, and drug offenses.
Having devoted almost her entire career to the legal field, she is committed to her clients.
She earned her law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law, graduating top of her class and with high honors, while working full time as a state bar certified criminal defense paralegal for attorney Jeffrey M. Cutler with our firm. Candace worked alongside Attorney Cutler for more than 13 years where she consistently went above and beyond to meet the needs of the firm’s clients. While in law school, she also interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. There she gained knowledge and experience related to federal prosecution and sentencing under the Armed Career Criminal Act.
Candace is a zealous advocate for her clients both in and out of the courtroom. She instills confidence in her clients and works diligently to ensure they receive the best outcome in their case. Candace listens to her clients, learns their stories, and then is dedicated to becoming their voice in the courtroom.
She is a member of the Tenth Judicial District Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Academy of Trial Lawyers and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
